Standing in back from left are Laura, Dorothy and Bertha. Seated from the left are Robert, Clara
and their father, "Will" Rasch. Their mother, Helen, had passed on ten years before this photo was taken.
This photo is said to have been taken in 1918. Robert, on the far left,
is
in his wedding suit and Bertha,
who is standing in the back on the
right,
is wearing the dress she wore as the maid-of-honor in
Robert and
Elizabeth's wedding that May. In the fall of 1918, Bertha went to Grand
Rapids to start her
life's work as an elementary teacher in the
Dominican
Order of Sisters.
